How long have you been in business?
Officially 1984.
What is your primary product or service?
Plumbing, Gas, remodeling and new construction. We also provide service contracts, 24 hour service for certain customers. Sewer cleaning, replacement, or repair. We offer video and pipe location services. For documentation we use the Internet. Custom water systems, Tankless water heaters and tank type. Commercial and lite industrial.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been in the plumbing trade sense 1972, after my journey man training I took the Charleston County Journeyman"s exam which at that time was practical test and closed book test. I passed the exam, did my 2 years as a licensed Journeyman plumber then took the Charleston County Masters Test which I passed. After several years I took the State Master plumbing test and the State Mechanical test which I passed, With these in place I began business In 1984 and have enjoyed my career.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our employee's! We have some of the finest young people in the business. They share the same goal as I do. A career in what I think is the best trade possible. We no longer hire employees based just on plumbing skills, rather we look how they carry themselves, inquire into their work ethics then time in the Service" industry. With out personal ethics, trust and confidence is non existent. If we intend to make the "long haul" we need more than Plumbing skills. Without trust,fairness, and commitment from all of Lankford Plumbing Co. All could lose. All parties must be satisfied for the project to be a success.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We don't have any plans to expand. Our current faculty's are sufficient to meet our needs, We are located within 3/4 miles of I26, 526, North Rhett and Rivers Ave. Our shop has room to grow if needed.

Checks, cash, Credit cards and with proper set up, payment accounts.
Which areas do you service?
The bulk of our business is with in a 30 mile radius of our shop which is near Remount Road and I26. Our current customer base takes us to Columbia, Myrtle Beach, Beaufort, Orangeburg, Lake Marion and many other places. You are correct to deduce we will travel upon the customers request.

What are your hours of operation?
Standard Business hours Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM thru 5:00 PM. Emergency Service is available 24/7/365 for our customer base only. With Lankford Plumbing and the Customer in agreement, the customer is supplied with a Phone number with the Plumber on call.
